My story

I am deeply grateful for all the kindnesses, large and small, offered to me in recovery. Here I am... alive… still making progress … still not perfect … finding a new way forward in a growing community of women and men who share a lot in common around food and life.

Happy Birthday, Mom!

HappyBirthdayMom

Dear Mom,

Happy birthday!

I love you and I love how you are living your life! Poetry classes, knitting group, book groups, walking the gardens, singing, tending your landscape, creating beauty in your home, connecting with friends, exercising your mind-body-spirit, and continuing to teach love wherever you go. You bless us all.

I am so grateful that Louise and I have you as our mother.

Big hug!

Love & Light,

Valerie

What a wondeful description of your mother–and of you! And, I suspect Louise, whom I don’t know.

Happy Birthday, Myra! And very best wishes for the coming year.

I am so happy to know that my daughters love me and my dear friends love me too! Deborah, how lovely to hear from you. I hope all is well with your family. Say a little prayer for Valerie and all of us as we see her through the procedure to remove some metal from her back. I think about David and I say a prayer for him too. Is Allison still in Chicago. My grandchildren are there now. It would be nice to get them together.
Thank you Valerie, for this beautiful blog. I love hearing from you. xoxoxm
