My friend Debby asks, “What are you ready for?”
I answer delicately. I am ready to turn towards what I resist with compassionate curiosity. I am ready to embrace what I resist.
I am ready to write about it. To ask myself more about it. To find out what’s going on underneath. To see the big picture.
After all, having gotten through the last year, I can certainly do the hard thing… get back to continuous abstinence from flour and sugar… one day at a time… using the spiritual tools of my 12-step program.
Debby says, “I’m going to get tough here. I’m asking what you are ready for; not what you are ready to do.”
Uh-oh.
Time to go to bed.
Nightie-night.
Love & Light,
Valerie

Dear Chris, Thank you so much for sending this website. I have a good friend who I believe is also a devotee of the same teacher. I love the focus on service. You can be sure I will peruse further. Love & Light, Valerie
Dear Valerie,
I’ve been following your site for several months. I keep coming back to taste the kindness. I’ve been inspired by the gentle, open-hearted inquiry in your posts. This one motivated to emerge from “lurking” status and join the conversation. What are you ready for? Good question. My answer – more kindness, more compassion, more caring and service to others.
Peace
Sandra Michaels
Dear Sandra, Beautifully said. I am very grateful that you took this moment to share. Perfect timing and welcome words. Love & Light, Valerie
